Not really. They can get around very well in the water when they need to for hunting, but they would die if they were forced to be in water all or most of the time. They are often regarded as marine mammals, but they prefer to be on the sea ice and along the shore lines, because that is where they are most successful hunting for food. Calling them marine mammals has more to do with the fact that they rely on the marine environment for food.

polar bears do float you can do this by multipying the length x width x highth of polar bear equels the volume then divide the volume x mass to get the density then you can calculate from there please add on if you know more!!
