There are a lot of people that swear by the beneficial effects of cherries in relieving the pain and inflammation involved with gouty Arthritis and arthritis, These remedy's however have to be tried out by individuals on their own behalf as patenting cherries and similar remedies is not possible no one is willing to go to the expense of carrying out proper tests as to their efficacy. On the contrary it is in the interest of both the drug company's and the medical fraternity to discourage confidence in alternate therapies as there is no licence to print money in them.
