Theoretically, they should survive roughly the same time in both types of water. They might survive for a little longer in mineral water. The only sure way to find out would be to experiment

You can live just fine on mineral free water. There are only very, very trace levels of minerals in mineral water, usually not even 1 percent of your daily value of any mineral per 8 oz glass. Mineral water or non-mineral water, essentially all of your minerals will come from food or a multivitamin. While it's not as though distilled water holds any special health benefits, it's not going to harm you either. Some people may have a preference for one or another based on taste.
