I have a 1 yr 3 month old ferret, he has never ever bitten me. He is a lovely natured ferret and since I have known him from a young age he trusts me as much as I trust him - a lot.
The only time that he has ever hurt me is when he fell from a high place and I had to catch him. Because he was scared he sunk his claws into my arm.
P.S Think of it this way, you are more likely to be bitten by a hamster than a ferret.
