Yes, fish do get cancer and scientists actually study cancer in fish to investigate possible treatments that may also work for humans. "Cefas scientists are collaborating with experts from the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Institute for Cancer Studies at the University of Birmingham because of the apparent similarity between the liver cancers present in the fish collected under the CSEMP and those appearing in humans."

I have read on some internet sites that cancer is present throughout the phylogenic tree "the biological classification of species." My guess is cancer is present in all living things: insects, plants, sponges...All life evolved from prokaryotic cells with DNA that diversified into more complex things. Cancer is caused by damaged or mutated DNA. Any thing that is made of DNA then is at possible risk of cancer. The reason you don't see many animal with cancer is because when the get sick and weak they become something elses dinner.
