ok but does the mic let u take calls on 3gs? cause my phone sound is messed up when i call someone i can hear them but they cant hear me so would getting apple in ear headphones solve my problem?

∙ 14y agoNo, the Iphone has a microphone but the iPod touch doesn't, however, you can buy one separately and plug it in (do bear in mind you can't not just any mic they don't all work). I would advise you search for "Ipod touch mic" and you will get loads of results. You can pick one up for about a tenner. There are many free sound recording apps you can download from the app store to use it with.

∙ 13y agoThe Microphone on 3rd generation Ipod touch's is in the ear-buds. If you get the 16 gigabyte or 36 gigabyte you get the microphone with the ear-buds but not if you get the 8 gigabyte.
