Officially they are no longer "family" to the ex spouse although they are "family" to any children born of the marriage. Of course, they may always be considered "family" in spirit if the parties have a good relationship.

∙ 12y agoNo, after a divorce, your in-laws are no longer related to you,but you can treat them as in-laws if you have developed a relationship and both of you want to maintain it. If there are children of a marriage, after a divorce the in-laws continue to be the children's grandparents.
