There are no reports of whale attacks on humans in the wild, although some have be known to happen in captive situations.
Killer whales have been known to kill people in the wild they do not know!
The name 'killer whale' has to do with the fact they kill other whales, not humans. But, if they have an opportunity, they could kill a human too, but they prefer to eat other aquatic species, mainly seals. Also, the preferred term is orca.
That is not true. They don't kill other whale unless necessary, like if they were being attacked or something duh!
Orcas have only ever been responsible for the death of 2 people. Both of which occured in captivity.
Yes, killer whales have killed humans because in the news this year of 2010 a 22 foot killer whale has killed a 40 year old human. They say that the woman was doing an act of moving her head side by side, and as she went into the water her pony tail drifted and that's when the whale grabbed it and thought it was a toy/game. Its horrible
i think there was a few attacks i googled killer whale attacks in wikipedia u can but im not sure if they died
they eat krill and fish and smaller whales and seals but they don't ever attack or eat humans unless they mistake them for humans
No, but if you are not trained to swim with them you could get hurt. In the entire history of Orcas only 3 people have been killed by them.
There has never been a case of an orca eating a human.
no they do not
yes in sea world
When and where will change the answer and it is on whale in spcific. You might have a better chance of response being specifi and maybe change you spelling as it is human beings (not beans). I live in the NW and we have several pods. They have not killed anyone her that I have ever heard of
Probably. We can't be sure since monitoring of all whale sharks and killer whales has not been carried out.
Anthony Hopkins was the first person to ever touch a killer whale.
Yes, Orca ( Killer Whale) do helps people. Killer whale is a kind animals like humans but if u killed / beat the Orca it will take revenge where ever u go then the Orca will not help you anymore if u kill the orca they will took it back by killing the humans that killed the families / the female.
probly
I know that a killer whale has killed a GIRL in Florida, when she didn't have her hair tied back and it thought she was a seal, so she was grabbed by her hair and pulled underwater, and drowned. On December 24th 2009 a man got attacked by a killer whale and died. I don't know if any other men have died as a cause of killer whale incidents, but you can look it up on the wikipedia page: Killer whale attacks on humans.
The 'Megamouth whale' doesn't exist, but there is a Megamouth shark.
no
The largest animal ever captured and held in captivity is the Killer Whale (Orcinus Orca).
of coarse one did and a great white shark did too. this might be true, but whale sharks are supposed to be very friendly and not eat/ kill people
It's unlikely that killer whales would ever try to attack a blue whale due to the epic difference in size. Orcas would most likely avoid a blue whale and would go after prey smaller than themselves. Basically, I dbout a killer whale could harm a blue whale.
