In my experience No, the truth is Men want to be wanted. Most men if asked to answer truthfully would say they prefer to know one way or another, either you like me or you don't...playing games like "hard to get" more often will turn off the guy your after and when another woman comes along who shows honest interest in him...who do you think he's going to choose? Of course comming on too strong could have a negative affect as well, it depends on your intentions, dont throw yourself at him and expect him to respect you, having said that, if your just looking for a casual "hook up" then be as blunt as possible.

∙ 17y agoIt takes a good healthy balance to pull off this one. If you play too hard to get and don't give in a little the person you care for may just get bored with the games or think you don't like them and move on. If you are too available and don't make them work for your attention then they could take you for granted. I've learned to not be distant with someone I have liked in the past, but be pleasant, listen to them and have some good laughs, but if it turned serious then that's the time to back off just a little. When you feel comfortable with the person then that's the time you can take your relationship to the next level. Most people in todays world just don't like games and you either love someone or you don't, so don't push the "hard to get" routine too far. Good luck Marcy
