There is no doubt that God has the power of healing anything. I have been a christian for more than 25 years already. I married my christian bf. In everybody's minds we were the perfect christian couple. My now xN cheated on me, he treated me in the most abusive way so it would be me who filed for divorce. Then he pretended that he had changed and asked for forgiveness (he knew the abuse he caused me was unforgivable, an emotional and sexual offense). He made sure he had witnesses of him asking me for forgiveness, he even went to our Pastor and told him that he had repented and that he wanted to come back. But God is always there. Our Pastor is also a psychologist and he also mentioned that his dad suffered of some type of personality disorder. So he knows these people. He did not completely believed him. Later on, one morning, because God wanted things to be that way, I saw him with the other woman! He was still with her!!! He has been lying to all of us!!
This person pretended to be a christian for more than 15 years. After several financial crisis and this infidelity (maybe there had been some others I was never aware of) I cannot trust anybody. Now he says he has found God, that he has already returned to a relationship with him and so on... Our Pastor does not believe him and he says he sees no genuine repentance (no empathy).
God is powerful to heal anything, but make sure this person really knows Him. Make sure he is really in a genuine relationship with God. If you catch him lying. You better run. Some of them do not have respect for anything.
I believe that if they have truly given their lives to Jesus, then yes they can be changed. Jesus changed me! I was not a very nice person before I knew him. Not everyone that says they are changed have changed. But don't put anything past God. He can and does miracles every day.
