Will a narcissist come back after a breakup?

My exN continuously falls out with his friends. He never gets invited anywhere, and when he does he ands up arguing with them. He has managed to isolate himself and has admitted to me in the past that he feels the odd one out. Whenever he falls out (always the other person's fault), he somehow gets back in touch with them, although he claims he thinks they're losers.....!

He doesn't have good relationships with his colleagues and his best friend is his mother who he lives with, (he is in his mid 30's and has never moved out), We broke up because I basically stod up to him, told him he wasn't treating me right and that he was a fantasist. He was putting me on a pedistal and I had to remain perfect, not talk back to him and take the blame for everything that happened between us. I think it shocked him so much that it made him realise what he was doing to me.

He was the one who said the words "its over." Although he should have said "I'm sorry." The thing was I think I was the first girl that really got under his skin. Typical N wanting the "perfect fantasy girl" he said terrible things about his ex's but claimed I was the one and even his mother told me she had never seen anyone have this effect on him before..... I am almost over him but I get the feeling he will be making a re-appearance......

I have made no effort to contact him, and he too has remained silent, but juding by past relationships he has with people, I think I will be getting a call in about 6 months?!?! Maybe not - he might think I am not worth the risk seeing as I have the balls to put him in his place!

Narcissism is not the determining factor of whether a person will go back to their ex. A narcissist thnks only of him or herself, but even so, a spouse or a former spouse might serve the purposes of the narcissist.New Answer-Sometimes they do to get a quick fix when they are down and out,when their delusions about getting somebody better than their ex is shattered ,they try again.....Just to make things worst than before....They cannot change,their past behavior is also their future behavior only worst....Never go back to a Narcissist ,you will end up crazy or jail or hospital....

Yes, they come back. When they do, the abuse is many times worse than the first time and the devaluing/control begins from day 1. You will never be happy with a narcissist. They do not get better, they only get worse. Especially if they know they can always come back to you when they have no other supply available. Trust me, that is no way to live................You are only being used for supply, money, attention, etc.
