Will hydrocodone show up as a narcotic on a drug urine test?

Most things show up in the urine if they're tested for, but the people doing the testing are probably only looking for illegal drugs.
Also, "narcotic" is a bad term to use in this context. It technically refers just to opiates, but the meaning has become so muddled by government Propaganda that it's ceased to be a useful word. Stick with either "illegal drugs", or "opiates" if you mean opiates.

∙ 12y agoIt will show up as an opiate which is a class of drugs that contains and is not limited to morphine, heroin, and oxycodone. Now depending on how much a person has ingested and for how long it was taken, it should be clear from urine samples in about 72 hours.

∙ 9y agoEvery urine test is testing for specific things. When you go to the doctor's office (or the lab) and pee in the cup because the doctor is wondering if you have Diabetes, THAT test will tell the doctor about your blood sugar level, but it won't find drugs. Unless they wanted to perform a separate test for that as well.
But if you've used drugs within the last week or so, and the lab is running the appropriate tests for that, then yes, they'll find it.
The tricky thing is that for new "designer" drugs, it's possible that the tests won't detect that because the lab people weren't looking for that specific drug.
