A growth factor is a signaling molecule which is secreted by the cell and sensed by itself and other cells. They are capable of stimulating cellular growth, proliferation, and cellular differentiation. Usually it is a protein or a steroid hormone. Growth factors are important for regulating a variety of cellular processes.

your body produces MPF which stimulates growth (MPF amounts fluctuate). cyclin fluctuates with MPF. cyclin activates kinases that cause cell division. Therefore, MPF causes more cell division which equals growth. So, growth factors (MPF) cause cell division through this process.

What happens if the cell cycle is not controlled?

If cell division were not controlled, there would be unrestricted over growth of cells to form a shapeless mass of cells called a tumor. Uncontrolled cell growth is called cancer

In the cell cycle of typical cancer cells mutations have caused?

Uncontrolled growth

Why can cancer be considered a disease of the cell cycle?

because cancer happens when control over the cell cycle has broken down the cell cycle is the series of events that cells go through as they grow and divide, and cancer is a disorder in which some of the body's cells lose the ability to control growth

Regular sequence of growth and division that cells undergo?

THE CELL CYCLE.

What can happen when the cell cycle is not properly regulated?

Loss of control within the cell cycle is often caused by a disease of the cell cycle known as cancer in which cells lose the ability to control their own growth and tumors can be formed as byproducts of this loss of control as well as injuries to surrounding tissues and muscles.

What is the regular sequence of growth and division that cells undergo called?

Cell Cycle

Most cells go through a growth and reproduction called the?

I just know of it as cell growth.

What can cause the cell cycle to be uncontrolled?

what can cause the cell cycle to be uncontrolled is that if a pathogen gets into the cell the cell will turn into a cancer cell and that will make the cell cycle uncontrolledif your cell turns into a cancer cell then you will have cancer cells reproducing faster than a normal cell(a normal cell is supposed to reproduce every 22 hour's a cancer cell reproduces every 10 hours)

Which describe the activities of a cell that include cellular growth and cell division?

The cell Cycle

Which disease is a result of uncontrolled cell growth?

Uncontrolled cell growth is usually called a tumor. When there is a condition that causes uncontrolled cell growth of abnormal cells, it is called cancer.
