Yes, male and female rabbits have nipples, although they may be hard to find because they're very small under the fur; the nipples of a nursing female rabbit will be much larger and easier to find. Another word for nipple is "teat" but this word is usually only used to refer to the nipples of a nursing mother.

If you do not know what you are doing, you could hurt the mother and kill the babies by doing this. A few days before she is ready to deliver, she will start pulling out her own fur and padding the box with hay. Be aware however, that some female rabbits have 'false pregnancies' and may start to build a nest even though they are not pregnant.

If the vet couldn't tell whether your rabbits were pregnant or not you need a new vet. A simple palpation of the rabbit's stomach would have determined pregnancy. Most likely if one is building a nest she is about to have babies. The does should be separated if they are together.

But it is quite normal for females to nest without being pregnant, particularly in the Spring and warmer weather.Also, wild rabbits cannot breed with domestic rabbits as they are a different species.
