Always read the information label on all products you purchase for consumption by you and your family. Be aware and informed. It ks important to health and well being.

Can you use gluten free flour instead of self raising flour?

Technically all flour has gluten in it. Gluten is a protein found in food processed from wheat and other related species. Different kinds of flours have different levels of gluten (bread flour has high gluten vs. cake flour with low gluten). Self-rising flour is all-purpose flour with salt and some kind of leavening agent. So yes, self-rising flour, like all flour has gluten in it. It just doesn't have special amount added or taken away like bread or cake flour does. It has same gluten content as all-purpose flour.

What are the Instructions for basting stitch?

Please see related link. * http://www.expertvillage.com/video/122946_how-sew-basting-stitches.htmAnswer 2:A basting stitch is the simplest stitch you can make. You push the threaded needle through the layers of fabric, and bring it up about 1/2 inch away. It works best when you keep the stitches as straight and even as you can. Since it is a temporary stitch, it doesn't have to be perfect. The reason for the basting stitch is to hold the pieces together until you finish sewing or working with the project.
