Do you have to be 18 to go to court?
To attend a session of court as an observer, you do not need to be 18. To appear as a principal in a case, you are not considered to be legally competent until you reach the age of majority in your state. Until you reach that age you may not bring, or be the recipient of, a civil suit.

Can a 16-year-old move in with her 18-year-old boyfriend without parental consent or would you have to go to court over it?
Answer No, she can't. Also, don't expect to receive 'permission' from the court to do this. A court is not going to grant a minor permission to move in with he…r adult boyfriend.
Would a 16-year-old have to go to court to move in with her 18-year-old boyfriend if her parents would not give their consent?
young love legally you cannot move in with an 18 year old boy if you are 16 and not only that but if you did take it to court the judge will probably throw the case out becau…se legally you are still a minor and not allowed to live on your own without parental guardianship. so my answer to you is most likely and in all probability no. Answer No. The 16 year old would have to get emancipated before she can move out (without parental permission). Answer Well. This is a free country, you can do what you want. BUT Your parents will report you missing, they or the police will find you, your boyfriend will spend time in jail for kidnapping and statutory rape, or worse, living with the whole, having sex with a minor on his rap sheet. My advice would be to wait it out, things will get better, you will eventually grow apart from this guy as you mature, and thank your lucky stars you didn't move out. The court does not recognize emancipation petitions based on the cited circumstances. A judge would never give a minor permission to move in with a boyfriend or girlfriend, especially when the parents object.
You live in NC and got a ticket going 74 in a 45 and im 18 years old whats going to happen at court?
If you were actually going 74 mph in a 45 zone, you are going to go in an plead guilty and get assigned your fine and points. I doubt they will pull your license on a first of…fense. (DON'T DO IT AGAIN!). You could plead not guilty and ask to speak with the ticketing officer or the procecuting attorney in an attempt to get the charge reduced to a more reasonable level. Say 55 in a 45.
What would happen if a minor gets a ticket and doesn't go to court will it clear when he becomes 18 or not?
No, it doesn't clear when they turn 18 ... it stays with anyone at least for 39 months as part of their permanent driving record on file with the state in which they res…ide. Sometimes, going to traffic school can erase the points from the offense.
No because it will automatically be stopped. Upon the child reaching 18 and graduating the child support offices will send out a letter to the parent whom is receiving c…hild support for the child letting them know that the child support payments are about to end...But it also give them 30 days to reply to the letter saying that the child is going to continue their education, then you still would have to pay to help them with tuition and other fees so actually if your child goes to college you are going to be paying it until they graduate then it ends for good unless you owe back pay!
18, 36, 54 and so on.
No court will entartain you , as you are a minor and under age of marriage.
When a child turns 18 does a father still have to pay child support or have to go to court to stop paying child support?
only if its in the divorce settlement. and if the child is out of school
If you got in trouble with the law at age 17 can you go to the court alone or with your parents now that your age 18?
Until you are 18, you are considered a minor. The court will probably notify your parents about the issue. And they will expect you to show up with a parent, or at least an …attorney.
If a 17 yr old student refuses to go to school how do i present this to child support court to mandate after 18 yrs of age if she will ever go school to graduation?
See Link Below Child Support Age-At what age does child support stop and what steps need to be taken to bring this about?
If you are a defendant you defend yourself, if you are the complainant you prove your case (against a defendant). This question is otherwise to ambiguous to answer correctly.
Probably. At 18 you are an adult and by the time you get a court date your birthday will all ready have happened.
generally, no. However, an official request must be made to child support enforcement.
When a child turns 18 does a father still have to pay child support or have to go to court to stop paying child support in Texas?
At 18, you are no longer considered a child for child support purposes unless you have not graduated high school or are disabled. If the child is 18 and out of high school, yo…u must contact the Texas AG to stop child support.
Yes, any changes in the child support order has to be done in court. It does not end automatically.
While 18 basketball players can fit on a court, only 5 players from each team are allowed on a court at one time, meaning 10 players are on the court at any given moment.
Can you take your brother out of a group home if he is a ward of the state without going to court if he is over 18 in the state of Missouri?
