∙ 8y agoYes. It usually requires an MS in counseling or in child, family counseling. I have an MS in school counseling that required graduate classes in counseling and an internship. This was 2 years more of school beyond my BS. The child and family counseling requires 600 hours of Internship. Check with your local college for more information about what your state requires.
