Yup ... even though you didn't ask for it to be sent to you. If you have "texting" enabled on your communication device, you are able to receive unwanted messages. You can, depending on the carrier, block certain phone numbers from texting you in the future - or can have texting turned off completely by your mobile phone service.

∙ 13y agoIt depends on which plan you have. I have Sprint and you have to pay to read a text message.
Edit: No network provider that I know of charges people to READ a text message - they get their money by charging people to SEND messages.

∙ 12y agoNo, the message in itself is free of charge. If you are texting over 3G it will count as data. So make sure you have a good data plan.

Yes. IMessage is not the same as the text messaging you have in something like a Samsung phone. iMessage only works with other Apple devices that have iMessage.
