Sorry to say, yes you do. The fuel pump and fuel sending unit are both in the tank. You may want to consider buying a new fuel pump if yours has a lot of miles/time on it. Dropping the tank is a project I only like do once every 5 years but it is your call and your money.
How do you replace a radiator in a 1993 suburban?
Its in the gas tank on the sending unit. TRUST ME
if it POURS out, check drain plug, oil filter and oil pressure sending unit
The fuel pump is in the tank on this truck. Get as much gas out of it as possible and then remove the fuel lines and electrical connections and take the straps off and lower the tank.Rent a special tool from the parts store to renove the sending unit and pump. Then reverse everything to put it back.
You have to remove the fuel tank.
The 1993 Nissan oil sending unit is located on the bottom of the engine inside of the oil pan. You will need to remove the oil pan in order to view the sending unit.
