of course! they don't let any old schlub on a nuclear powered several billion dollar silent killer of the deep. all submariners (except the nuclear department, they get enough training as it is) go to sub school after boot camp where you will learn about the different departments of the boat and train how to respond to different crises like flooding and fire.
even after sub school you have to go through a qualification period to earn your "dolphins". you have to prove your knowledge about the different systems of the boat, the different departments and their jobs and responsibilities, and damage control.
and there are constant drills. fire, flooding, ASW (anti-submarine warfare), reactor problems, missle drills...
by train acctually they got there by submarine or hovercar

press submarine then y to start n to go slower m to go faster x to stop
as far as i can remember your not supposed to go to the submarine.
The vessel is a submarine.
you go and play a guy in darts then u have to play more people after u go on the boat, get the ticket and go to the submarine. ~ sorry if it sounds to complicated :( ~
They are actually called "planes" on a submarine and allow it to maneuver underwater. Horizontal "planes" allow the submarine to go up/down, vertical "planes" allow the submarine to go left/right.
