You can find information on changing your brake fluid yourself is to go online and look up under the information for changing brake fluid. You can also speak with a mechanic.
asbestos are in the brake pads and shoes, metal in the rotors and drums, brake fluid in the lines.
Brake system usually has the following components: 1) brake pedal 2) brake fluid tank 3) brake system hoses 4) calipers 5) rotors 6) pads p.s. If it's a drum brake system - brake drums replace calipers and rotors.
I have the same problem - I was recommended a brake fluid drain and brake fluid sensor replacement - haven't done it yet, but hopefully it works. Dealer quoted me $190.
you probably need to change the brake fluid drain it then put new fluid
you have to bleed or drain the fluid
Oh man not good, brake fluid eats paint and its very toxic where it will eat up your rings and damage your tranny guts if you have done that drain it asap, other then that they are very different fluids tranny serves as coolant, lubricant, and hydralic, its thin and brake fluid just pushes your caliper pistons on pads that are applyed to your rotors and is much thicker so you dont want to mix those 2. You are very welcome.
The brake pedal will go to the floor but will have absolutely no effect on stopping the vehicle. When you push on the brake pedal it moves the fluid through metal tubes (called brake lines) to force the brake pads against the rotor which slows and stops the car. No fluid means nothing is in there to make the brake pads engage the rotors.

Most UK vehicles, the recommendation period is two years for mineral brake fluid. Silicon fluid should not need changing as it does not absorb water.
To bleed the cluth on a Yamaha Royal Star 1300 first drain all of the brake fluid from the vehicle. After draining the brake fluid pump the brake pedal up and down several times. All oil will then drain from the system.
