What kind of a question is that anyway? We have been told that we all use only 10% of our brains. Even Albert Einstein and others have said some variation of it.

This seems kinda stupid if you put it this way. Why would we have the biggest brain in proportion to our bodies of any animal if we didn't actually use all of it?

Here's the thing, though; it's not really true. In addition to those 100 billion neurons, the brain is also full of other types of cells that are continueally in use. We can become disabled from damage to just small areas of the brain depending on where it's located, so there's no way that we could function with only 10% of our brain in use.

Really, you may only have about 10% of consciousactivity, but your brains are ALWAYS active. Some areas of the brain are more active at any one time than others, but unless we all are brain-dead, then not ONE, NOT ANY part of the brain that is absolutely not functioning. Here's an example; if you're sleeping in your bed, you're not moving physically, well not that much, but that doesn't mean the your arms or legs (or anywhere else that usually doesn't move much in sleep, for that matter) move. But that doesn't mean that your body isn't working -- there's still activity in them, such as blood flow, even when you're not actually moving them.

So there's no hidden, extra potential you can tap into, in terms of actual brain space. You are always using 100% of your brain, unless you're brain-dead.
