Cyotec is not an approved drug for use by pregnant women either to cause a miscarriage or to assist in an incomplete miscarriage.
There are multiple cases of uterine rupture following the use of Cyotec both to help induce labor in a term pregnancy and in women using the drug to induce a miscarriage (abortion) caused by hyperstimulation of the uterus.
When used to induce an abortion the results are often incomplete which can and does cause birth defects.

Birth defects up to and including death has been found in cases of incomplete miscarriage. Defects include head (bone) and facial defects, damage to nerves in the head and face, and defects of arms and legs.
Retained products of conception. (incomplete abortion) would require a d&c, due to the risk of infection and hemorrhage. Either can cause maternal death.
When used as a drug to soften the cervix, severe pain and bleeding leading to shock, blood flow impairment to the baby caused by uterine contractions that are extremely prolonged can lead to hemorrhage or death aka a major adverse effect.
