Yes, he does. Not for all his tricks, mind you. He still uses the basics: misdirection, sleight of hand, etc. Did you see the hand-through-the-vending-machine-glass trick? Utilize slo-mo if you can. You'll see the video effect in action.
no criss angel does not use video effect don't get me wrong the tricks aren't real.. that's why they are called tricks but he uses stuff in real life to cover the trick up he doesn't edit it on the camera ... he does that because he has real guests come on the show

Well not exactly, the second person who answered is right. I have he criss angel mind freak platinum kit. It also includes a DVD. In the DVD it shows criss angel doing the magic trick and after one trick it shows him doing the trick step by step and he tells you how to do it with out any video effects.

why yes, yes he does use video effects. hey coolaid, does it tell you on that DVD how he levitates off a building without effects? he doesn't, does he? That's because he uses a CRANE with black wires that any real person could see. but the camera doesn't... as a matter of fact, for the second person who answered, have you ever heard of PAID SPECTATORS? that's right,all the spectators are PAID actors who give the HOLEY S**T reaction every time.
cris is an amazing magician don't get me wrong... but his TV show is a horrible mess of video editing and effects. go to an actual criss performance where he is on stage, it is much better.
