NO! Suicide is not forgivable!

Talking about sins: God can forgive any sin if you are repentant, but suicide is not forgivable!

Taking away your life is only ''God's right to do so'', we (still) say! Though God did not take a single life, not even Lucifer's (satan's) life ! ...

The fact is God created and is creating life only to be perfect and so to be a permanent life! But our sin(s) crippled us and made us mortal !

God haven't created the life for what we are now, perishable and living in mistake/sin, but we should live together with Him like His Son, Jesus Christ, did it; to live in total love one to each other through Him, as God is the spring of LIFE, of LOVE, of TRUTH !

The Holy Spirit - Who is the aspect of God immanent in this world, in human beings, and in the church, is living in your body! Your body is the vessel of where the Holy Spirit dwells.*

Such you can see that by committing suicide you reject God's manifestation into yourself and yet you wish to be forgiven. How do you want such a thing to be possible? It is a contradiction.

It is our own decision we have to take: which way do we choose? God or satan? Whatever we will choose, God is ALWAYS near and watch us, feels for us, suffer for us, with us!

Just we have been blinded by our sins and we believe He must be somewhere far, into the distance... His own Son said on the cross: ''Father, why have you forsaken Me?'', because the sins - our sins - were there, a wall between Him and His Father, though God was all the time right there with Him. Jesus had no reason to be repentant, but He gave Himself free to die instead of ourselves, for our sins & asked for all of us to be forgiven (for his execution too)

* < < Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! // Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who isin you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. > > (1 Corinthians 6:15, 19-20)

* < < For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. > > (1 Thessalonians 4:7-8)

* < < PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. // Quench not the Spirit. // ...and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. > > (1 Thessalonians 5:17,19,23)

Someone who commits suicide has no place in heaven. If they were faithful to god they would have no reason to commit suicide. But its hard to say all in all.

Does God forgive those who committ suicide?

Yes He does (but only for Christians-God is not a Universalist): Suicide is a sin, it is self-murder, but God forgives allsin, except one - sinning against the Holy Spirit. (However, if you fear you have committed that sin, then you haven't. )

How bad is it to attempt suicide - can this end all your problems or is going to start something new and bad over which you have no control and you need to give answer to God too?

Suicide may end your suffering but it leads to many issues and questions for the ones you leave behind. There is debate about suicide and how God perceives it. Some think God can forgive you while other think it condemns you to hell.

What verse in bible states god will forgive suicide?

It doesn't - Either you are born again and your soul is eternally saved by believing the gospel or you are 'dead in trespasses and sins' even while still living on this earth. This applies regardless of how you die. As to suicide - if Jesus is your Saviour then you belong to Him - you 'are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body'. If he is not, then you will have to answer to God for your sins and will come under judgment whether you have suicide on your record or not 'for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.'

What does Christianity believe about suicide?

Most Christians believe life to be a gift from God and also that it is not ours to take as we please, since Christians have been 'bought with a price', the precious blood of Jesus. Thus Christians consider that they do not own or possess their own life. It is not theirs to dispose of as they please, but that God will allow it to end when He sees fit. Suicide is also frequently a means of escape from a situation which could either be resolved with God's help or that could be faced with God's help, whatever it is. Paul's comment 'I can do all things' through Christ and the sure knowledge that He cares makes all the difference.

Is it okay to die?

Only if you're ready. Have you ever asked God to forgive your sins and asked Jesus Christ to save you? If not, you're definitely not ready. But then if you're talking about suicide, no, that's not okay. God has a much better plan for you than that.
