Best Answer

Jupiter has a faint ring system comprised of three main rings: an inner torus, known as the halo, a relatively bright main ring, and an outer gossamer ring.

You cannot see the rings of Jupiter with the naked Eye. They are too thin.

Jupiter has four rings.

  • Halo ring
  • Main ring
  • Amalthea gossamer ring
  • Thebe gossamer ring
The rings are known as the Jovian ring system. It was the third ring system to be discovered in the Solar System. It is faint and consists mainly of dust. The Main and Halo rings consist of dust ejected from Metis, Adrastea and other unobserved parent bodies as the result of high-velocity impacts.

I cannot give an exact number, but I could say that somebody has to know with today's technology. Jupiter isn't really famous for it's rings, though, as you may know, Saturn is, you could barely see Jupiter's rings, can you...?
