Before writing he worked as a composer in New York,factory worker, substitute teacher, ghost writer, software designer, and textbook editer. He's a vegetarian, never wears jeans, just bought a telescope, and lives in Australia and New York to avoid winter. He has also learned Latin, Spanish, and japanese.
