Most likely the hormones haven't settled. You should wait 3 weeks until you have sex after a miscarriage though so if you had you could be pregnant again.

Is it possible to have remaining tissue in the uterus after a miscarriage despite a negative pregnancy test and a closed cervix The miscarriage occured 4 weeks ago and test done 4 weeks later by doc.?

If you are concerned, an ultrasound test will confirm the emptiness of the uterus. == Yes, it is possible to have tissue left in your uterus after a miscarriage, this is called retained placenta. You really need to have a doctor confirm this, as a retained placenta could cause death, through hemorraghing or infection.

If you had a miscarriage and 2 months later have pinkish brownish bleeding what does that mean?

It is possible that you have retained part of the placenta or fetus. If a D & C was not done at the time of miscarriage material can be retained. You need to check with your doctor. If you have retained something it can cause a life threatening infection.

When you have misscarage you push it out?

Not necessarily. It depends on how far along a pregnancy is. If a woman is only a few weeks pregnant, the embryo is very small. The woman may have a normal, or slightly heavy, period, which is actually a miscarriage, and not even know she was ever pregnant. It is possible for part of the embryo/fetus or placenta to remain in utero after a miscarriage. This is called "retained products of conception." If you suspect that you are having a miscarriage, you should contact your doctor.

What do you do if you notice incomplete evacuation of your womb after 2 months what are the likely effects?

If you have retained products of conception (placenta after a delivery or fetal tissue after a miscarriage), there will be bleeding and infection. Abdominal pain and a smelly discharge would be noticed if the bleeding has not been severe. Raised temperature and a feeling of being unwell will be noticed. You need to see your doctor immediately if you think you have retained products. On the other hand, if you have been for a termination of pregnancy, there is a rare possibility of this being unsuccessful and you will continue to develop signs of pregnancy. A pregnancy test is advised and advice from your doctor is required.

If you are 9 weeks pregnant lost all pregnancy symptoms having some brown spotting mixed in with yellowish discharge and took a pregnancy test again and the line was barely there What does this mean?

Most likely and unfortunately it may mean a missed miscarriage. The embryo fails to develop fully and, instead of being passed out of the womb in a miscarriage situation, it is retained inside. Usually the symptoms of pregnancy such as nausea and breast tenderness will disappear abruptly as the womb becomes progressively smaller. Often there is no bleeding, but occasionally the woman may notice a dark brown vaginal discharge. In this situation a series of ultrasound examinations need to be done to confirm that it is a missed miscarriage.

Probably not that you would notice as the retained twin would soon make up the difference.

Does every miscarriage require a D and C?

No, as long as you pass all of the tissue from the pregnancy then you won't need a D&C, usually if it's a very early miscarriage then you won't need one. Only your doctor can decide if it's needed or not, through a series of blood tests, ultrasounds, or both. If you get a fever or other odd symptoms during or soon after a miscarriage you should seek medical help as you may have retained tissues and have an infection that needs attention. ~pawsalmighty

How much weight do you gain on your period?

Normally only maybe 3 pounds. This weight is actually just retained water. It is not fat weight. It will go away as your hormones change after your period.
