Everyone has different circumstances, but the majority of those who go to drug rehab have less relapses and are better equipped to re-enter the world. Drug rehab gives you the support and tools you need to get and stay sober. I went to a drug rehab in West Palm Beach (Palm Beach Institute) and it changed my life. I've been drug free for two years. So rehab definitely worked for me.

∙ 11y agoDrug rehabilitation centers only work if the person being admitted truly wants to change. There are many types of rehab centers, including outpatient treatment centers, and also those where a patient is admitted for a certain number of days. They can be highly effective if a person truly wants to stop using drugs.

∙ 8y agoIt usually begins with a period of controlled withdrawal from the substance the person is addicted to (detox). This is followed by education, psychological interviews and support - to help the addict into a better course of life, and healthier lifestyle.

Do they use drug dogs in drug rehab center?
I use to work in a drug rehab center and we did not use drug dogs. I also worked in a JobCorps campus where they did. I think it really depends on the center. However, if the agency is large or is a center that the courts regularly send people to, I wouldn't be suprised to see a drug dog used in searches.
