The answer to your question, is yes. I have 3 akitas. They make wonderful dogs, If you have ever hears of aggressive akita stories, do not listen. They are not like that. They are a great family pet, I would not even call my dogs pets they are more like family. We wash our dogs once a month but you do not have to you could probly do it once every 3 or 2 months.
Akita is basically a hunting dog and may not mingle well with children.Socializing at an early age is required to bring out its best behavior, but it may not be a good family dog.
Akita's come from Japan. But can be found living anywhere in the world.
Golden retrievers are not good with familys. They are great with familys. If you look for a family dog golden retriever is certainly the right choice :)
Because she loved all dogs
best dog is the japanese akita because it is purebred and really protective. The american akita is also protective buy it is not purebred and looks a little like a bulldog so I prefer an akita inu
Mine sure isn't.
yes so protective
The malamute is friendly to other dogs(if well trained) akita's are not suitible to be with another dog as the same gender, so i would recommend you have one for each gender. good luck!
Yes they are
Akita dogs are used for a variety of reasons. One major use of the dogs is as a pet. The cute and fluffy animal is a great gift for anyone, and can help brighten anyone's day.
They are in the toys section meaning they were meant to be a lapdog or for familys. They are also very good show dogs
pako sako and flako
Perhaps the closest Akita breeder to Ontario, Canada is "Akitas of Kireisa," which have a long history of excellence in their field. Puppy adopters must be pre-approved, but the Akita dogs are brought up quite well with only the highest standards.
