No urinary tract infections are not contagious and men that are intact are less likely to have UTI then circumcised men. The claim that baby's that were not circumcised tended to get more UTI's was made in the 1950s in a military hospital where the foreskin of baby's was retracted riping the glans and causing infections, this chestnut has been around for a long time and it is false.

Contrary to the belief that the proponents of circumcision try to lead us to believe> urinary tract infections are more likely in circumcised men. The foreskin protects the penis and the entrance of the urethra from invasion by foreign organisms.

It depends on the nature of the infection but it makes no difference at all what the a man has intact genitalia or whether he is circumcised. When he has sex with a woman the same risks apply to both. Some infections can be passed back and forth between them and require to be treated at the same time.

No. Whether a woman's sexual parters are circumcised or uncircumcised has no effect on how often she might get urinary tract infections.
