Please, think about this before you buy any fur products. The animals will thank you.
Animals used for fur suffer more than you would imagine. There are many ways to obtain fur, the main ways being fur farms, trapping and the Chinese. I separate the Chinese because in the streets of China many homeless dogs and cats are taken (even some out of yards) and then skinned alive. Fur farms and trappers at LEAST try to kill them ahead of time although that effort is not always successful.

∙ 13y agoYes, Fur coats is animal cruelty unless the animals are already dead. But usually people lay traps and when they have an animal they want, they would either beat them, strangle them, poison, or even electrocute them just to get their fur.
Up to 50% of trapped animals are 'useless animals' including domestic cats and dogs. 1 to 4 captured animals escape by chewing his or her leg or paw off, dying by loss of blood , infection or predators. Conclusion: Fur coats is Animal Cruelty unless they die naturally, most of the time they die because of us humans.

∙ 14y agoYes, animals do die whenever their fur is taken for fur coats. The animal is killed then skinned and their fur is made into coats, hats, gloves, etc. Animals like sheep, alpacas, and llamas are the only animals who are not killed before their wool is taken to be made into clothes.
