Yes, Tuna contains Mercury. So much of these river fishes have mercury

that scientists and doctors recommend having no tuna and albacore. You

can search on Google 'tuna calculator'. You enter your weight and it tells

you how much is the max amount of Tuna you can consume in a week without developing

Diabetes, high blood pressure, or any other diseases. Doctors say that human beings

are consuming so much of these fish thinking it is all right to have a bit once in a while, that a type of mercury cancer will develop. Mercury can damage your sight, smell, touch and taste. If I were you, I recommend no tuna consumption.

Can eating canned tuna everyday be harmful?

Yes. There are dangerous levels of mercury in tuna, and you shouldn't eat it every day. Limit your tuna intake to once a week at most. WRONG WRONG Pregnant women (or those who may be pregnant) should not consume canned fish. well, cheap tuna i.e canned (not steaks) actually contain very little or no amounts of Mercury due to the quality of the meat, its only the white part of the fish found in steaks and expensive tuna serving that contains mercury. I am and know lots of weight trainers(bodybuilers) that have eaten a can or more a day for over 5 years. my mercury levels are fine and so are all the people i know. the whole tuna mercury poisoning thing is largly propgander. a few cans a week or one a day = fine Tom

How much tuna can you eat before you die?

you'll "die" whether you eat tuna or NOT. hypothetically, you can eat (tuna or otherwise) until your stomach bursts, but you have to be pretty determined to do so since your body has defenses against that happening. if you're referring to harm due to mercury content, the FDA presumably protects against that and would put a recall in effect if that were a possibility

Is eating fish everyday good for health?

Fish is good for you but can also contain high levels of mercury and PCB's. Many websites offer analysis's of mercury levels in fish, just search fish + mercury in Google. Fish like tuna and swordfish can contain very highlevels of mercury. I wouldn't go out of your way to eat fish everyday, but make sure you get at least 2 servings of oily fish a week
