Decidual Bleeding One of the most common causes of period-like bleeding during pregnancy is called decidual bleeding. Sometimes, during pregnancy, your body's hormones can get out of whack, causing you to lose parts of the lining of your uterus. This is especially common in the early stages of pre…gnancy, before the lining has completely attached to the placenta. While it can be troublesome to think about shedding part if your uterine lining, decidual bleeding is generally not thought to be a health threat to you or your baby.. There are a number of other reasons why bleeding during pregnancy may occur. Most of them present little health risk to you and your little one. However, bleeding can sometimes indicate a complication with your pregnancy. If you are pregnant, it is important to be aware of your bleeding. If you experience any abnormal bleeding at any point during your pregnancy, contact your health care provider immediately. (MORE)

Pregnancy makes a woman more prone to have hemorrhoids. It occur when prolonged pressure is put on the epidural veins at the base of the spine, forcing the blood return from the legs and pelvis to use the veins in the anal and rectal areas. You cannot eat bamboo at all because you could get a splinter in your throat.
I don't have an exact answer to this question, but there are several things that lead me to believe the answer may be affirmative. If your diet is high in sugar and starch you will be more prone to yeast infections. Yeast often thrives internally, inside the colon. It is not recommended tha…t you use a cornstarch based powder during a yeast infection, as yeast can feed on it, thus making your infection worse. These things together would lead me to believe that eating large amounts of cornstarch could unbalance the body's natural flora balance and cause an overgrowth of Canidia, or yeast. (MORE)

As walnuts are a very good source of Omega 3 fatty acids, not only are they safe but infact can be beneficial to the baby. Although there is no long term research conducted, there has been some links between cultures that consume high quantities of these fatty acids tend and "brighter children" in g…eneral.. Again since there is no clear research on the subject, this point may be argued, but since Omega 3 is beneficial to the health of both the mother and the child - eating foods such as walnuts cannot harm either. Well you should always know that the main concern for eating any kind of fish during pregnancy is because of the mercury levels in the fish. Although calamari has one of the lowest levels of mercury, you should be cautious. Check out these websites for more information: . http://www.americanpregn…ancy.org/pregnancyhealth/fishmercury.htm . http://bellybelly.com.au/forums/pregnancy-general-discussion/21312-calamari.html (MORE)
Your doctor will tell you what you can and cannot eat duringpregnancy. Mercury is found in fish and is not safe to eat whilepregnant.
Raw Meat: Uncooked seafood, and rare or undercooked beef or poultry should be avoided because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella. Deli Meat: Deli meats have been known to be contaminated with Listeria, which can cause miscarriage, or even stillbirth. L…isteria has the ability to cross the placenta and may infect the baby leading to infection or blood poisoning. If you are pregnant and you are considering eating deli meats, make certain that you reheat the meat until it is steaming. Fish with Mercury: Fish that contain high levels of mercury should be avoided. Mercury consumed during pregnancy has been linked to developmental delays and brain damage. These types of fish include: shark, tuna, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish. Canned, chunked, light tuna generally has less amounts of mercury than other tuna, but still should only be eaten in moderation. Most fish in sushi should also be avoided due to high levels of mercury. Smoked Seafood: Refrigerated, smoked seafood often labed as lox, nova style, kippered, or jerky should be avoided because they could be contaminated with Listeria. This type of fish is often found in the deli section or refridgerated section. Canned or shelf-safe smoked seafood is ok to eat. Fish exposed to Industrial Pollutants: Avoid fish from contaminated lakes and rivers that may be exposed to high levels of polychlorinated biphyenyls. This is primarily for those who fish in local lakes and streams. These fish include: blue fish, striped bass, salmon, pike, trout, and walleye. Contact the local health department or Environmental Protection Agency to determine which fish are safe to eat in your area. Remember, this is regarding fish caught in local waters, not fish from your local grocery store. Raw Shellfish: The majority of seafood borne illness is caused by undercooked shellfish, which include oysters, shrimp, crabs, lobsters, clams, and mussels. Cooking helps prevent some types of infection, but it does not prevent the algae-related infections that are associated with red tides. Raw shellfish pose concern for everybody and they should be avoided altogether during pregnancy. Raw Eggs: Raw eggs or any foods that contain raw eggs should be avoided because of the potential exposure to salmonella. Some homemade Caesar dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream or custards, and Hollandaise sauces may be made with raw eggs. If the recipe is cooked at some point, this will reduce the exposure to salmonella. Commercially manufactured ice cream, dressings and eggnog are made with pasteurized eggs and do not increase the risk of salmonella. Restauants also should be using pasteurized eggs in any recipe that is made with raw eggs, such as Hollandaise sauce or dressings. Soft Cheeses: Imported soft cheeses may contain bacteria called Listeria, which can cause miscarriage or stillbirth. You would need to avoid soft cheeses such as : brie, camembert, Roquefort, feta, gorgonzola and Mexican style cheeses that include queso blanco and queso fresco, unless they clearly state that they are made from pastuerized milk. All soft non-imported cheeses made with pasteurized milk are safe to eat. Unpasteurized Milk: Unpasteurized milk may contain bacteria called Listeria. Make sure that any milk that you drink is pasteurized. Paté: Refrigereated paté or meat spreads should be avoided because it may contain the bacteria Listeria. Canned paté, or shelf-safe meat spreads can be eaten. Caffeine: Although most studies show that caffeine intake in moderation is okay, there are others that show that caffeine intake may be related to miscarriages. Avoid caffeine during the first trimester to reduce the likelihood of a miscarriage. As a general rule, caffeine should be limited to fewer than 300 mg per day during pregnancy. Caffeine is a diuretic, which means it helps eliminate fluids from the body. This can result in water and calcium loss. It is important that you are drinking plenty of water, juice, and milk rather than caffeinated beverages. Some research shows that large amounts of caffeine are associated with miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight, and withdrawal symptoms in infants. The safest thing is not to consume caffeine. Alcohol: There is NO amount of alcohol that is known to be safe during pregnancy, and therefore alcohol should be avoided during pregnancy. Prenatal exposure to alcohol can interfere with the healthy development of the baby. Depending on the amount, timing, and pattern of use, alcohol consumption during pregnancy can lead to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or other developmental disorders. If you consumed alcohol before you knew you were pregnant, stop drinking now. Alcohol should continue to be avoided during breastfeeding. Exposure to alcohol as an infant poses harmful risks, and alcohol does reach the baby during breastfeeding. Unwashed Vegetables: Yes, vegetables are safe to eat, so you still need to eat them. However, it is essential to make sure they are washed to avoid potential exposure to toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis may contaminate the soil where the vegetables were grown. (MORE)

On a general note, saffron is a plant that is used for asthma, cough, and to loosen phlegm. It is also used for insomnia, cancer, flatulence, modd swings, heartburn and dry skin. Women use saffronfor menstrual cramps and PMS. However, taking large amounts of saffron is UNSAFE . High doses can cause …poisoning. In pregnant women, larger amounts of saffron can make the uterus contract and mightcause a miscarriage. Doses of 12-20 grams can cause death. During pregnancy, it is used for the improvement of digestion andappetite. It is found to be extremely beneficial for providingrelief from gas and acidity related problems. It is a very popularanswer to many skin problems, like dry skin, enhancing andlightening the skin tone. Saffron is considered as a blood purifierand anti-inflammatory properties, so it should only be used insmall quantities. But the intake of saffron during pregnancy should be restricted toafter the 7th month (the last trimester); and even then, only 2-3strands at the most should be mixed with some warm water and milk.ever exceed the amount of saffron to be taken with milk. Just a fewstrands are enough. Too much of saffron can lead to contractions assaffron tends to stimulate the uterus. Although it is beleived in many South Asian cultures that eatingsaffron while pregnant will help improve the complexion of thebaby. This is just mere superstition. Babies are born following thegenetic make-up of it's parents and nothing else can influence it'sappearance. Not enough is known about the safety of using saffron duringbreast-feeding. So it is better to stay on the safe side and avoidits use during this period. "P.S: People who are allergic to these plants like Lolium, Olea(includes olive), and Salsola plant species might also be allergicto saffron." (MORE)

Because you have to remember, that when you are pregnant, you have a rapidly, and I mean rapidly growing baby inside your uterus, and they need very good nutrition. I'm not sure about the cause, but whoever is taking the medicine will know what caused them to take it. Either they had it prescribed because they need it, or it makes them feel better (or both). I expect you actually want to know about the effect of taking medicine during a pregnancy, and unfortun…ately that is a question only a doctor can answer. There are too many different types of medication and too many different types of people to give advice about this. Effects are generally negative, so unless a doctor has advised it, it is a bad idea to take medication during your pregnancy. (MORE)
