No, they do say that taking high doses on a regular basis makes you 3 times more likely to have gastrointestinal bleeding though.
Not exactly... It is a blood thinner and there for a small wound will produce more bleeding.
"No. ibuprofen Motrin and the like are anti inflammatories with some blood thinning qualities but not as much as Aspirin. They should not be used to try to control bleeding."
Actually the answer can be yes. Depends on the type of bleeding you were referring to. Some drs. prescribe high doses of Ibuprofen to lessen and/or stop periods that heavier or longer than normal. My doctor did this after I consulted her due to a period that would not stop. After tests showed that I had no underlying problem, she prescribed 800 mg twice daily to lessen the flow, and it stopped my period, which had not stopped for weeks. She said that Ibuprofen interacts with an enzyme in the uterus. All I know is that it has saved me from a never-ending period without me having to go on Birth Control, which I cannot take because it raises my blood pressure. Plus, I'm 41 and BCP's at this age aren't recommended. I'm not saying anyone should OD on Ibuprofen or anything to mess with their hormones! It can, however, impact your cycle. At least in some people.
"Actually ibuprofen causes your blood to become thinner which, in turn, would cause you to bleed more. "
The above answer is incorrect! Aspirin and Ibuprofen are both NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), but aspirin is the only kind that inhibits the clotting of blood. Aspirin thins your blood, while Ibuprofen does the opposite. Some gynecologist recommend that women try ibuprofen therapy to lessen the bleeding during their menstrual periods. But always check with your doctor before doing this!
No way!
No type of vinegar has any effect on menstruation. Ibuprofen has no effect on menstrual bleeding, though it helps some people with the associated pain. There is no reason to take apple cider vinegar at all, but it wouldn't interact with ibuprofen. However, both have the capacity to upset your stomach.
No, eating flour cannot slow down your menstrual bleeding at all. There are medications that can help lighten menstrual bleeding, and over time dietary changes can reduce menstrual flow too. But there is nothing you can eat to 'slow down' your menstrual period.
Its antiprostaglandin effect serves to decrease menstrual bleeding.
Ice; possibly Ibuprofen, if it's not bleeding.
NOT mustard powder ! CORNSTARCH !... Cornstarch acts as a coagulant to slow down bleeding.
You tie string or cloth as tight as you can on your arm near the cut. put ice on your arm to slow down bleeding.
No it cannot. Ordinary paracetamol can cause a stomach bleeding but with Ibuprofen you're safe. You must be careful when using Ibuprofen while pregnant though.
Ibuprofen shouldn't cause bleeding. Especially after taking such a small amount. I would see your doctor to investigate the cause of the bleeding. Its possibly a ulcer.
It's 'job' is to slow down bleeding - by forming blood clots.
Ibuprofen as Antiinflammatory not contraindicated with pradaxa but not recommended to use it as it can cause bleeding so recommend to ask the physician when use it
It would not delay, but it would make the bleeding less severe. One tablespoon in a large glass of water should slow down heavy bleeding.
Yes but ibuprofen and codeine are both hard on your stomach and together may cause nausea, vomiting and even stomach bleeding in some cases.
