Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning action/deed. It's a cause and effect principle. If you have done good, you get good and if you have done bad; you get bad. What you sow, you shall reap concept. However, in certain religions like Hinduism this concept extends to your past and future lives as well. So you basically carry forward your good and bad karma in all your lives.

My belief is no. I believe that karma is not real and believe it all happens due to the random splitting of attoms in the space time continuim. Another reason I do not believe in karma and think it is fake is because me, my mom, my friends all do great things for other people no matter who they are. A small list of the things we do is "Donating to cancer, Giving money to the poor, donating to the food bank, helping helpless animals left by there parents such as geese and squirrels, and alot more." And we don't get much good things back. We only get about 10% back out of what we give (Meaning not very much good things happen to us when we do good things). And when we do bad things, good things happen most of the time. But anyway, depending on the person you ask, you could get a different answer. Good luck in life and do your best!
