If you put lemon in your dry hair, go outside into the sun for about 15 minutes, come in wash it out and with some hair, it makes you hair lighter. If you had ginger hair it would go strawberry blonde, brown blondey(ish) and so on.

Lemons do make your hair lighter, but don't go around just squeezing lemons on your head and expecting to find it bleach blonde; lemons only give your hair color a small tint of 20% lighter. Results vary wildly depending on the shade of your natural hair color, the darker your hair, the redder it will become.
Simply combine 1 cup lemon juice (fresh squeezed and store bought both work) with 1 cup warm water and put the mixture into a spray bottle. Next, saturate your hair with the lemon mixture. Now apply sunscreen to any exposed skin, especially around your face and sit in the sun for 30-60 minutes. Follow with a deep conditioner. Repeat this no more than once every 3 or 4 days, otherwise your hair will become brittle and dry.

∙ 11y agoIf your talking about lemon juice in your hair then no it won't. You can put lemon juice in your hair and sit out in the sun to make streaks in your hair but it may take a while. (a couple days) but after your finished for that day make sure you wash your hair or else it will hurt to comb out. It tangles and hardens your hair until you wash it out. But the streaks are worth it.

∙ 11y agoIf you have oily hair, lemon juice rinse will leave it squeaky clean and shiny; just make sure you rinse it out! Also, women years ago used lemon juice to highlight their hair, just streak some in and sit in the sun for a while:) Lemon juice is not recommended for processed or color treated hair.
