A child in the womb may be affected by marijuana, but the specific affect that might have on an unborn child who is known to have Spina Bifida is unknown. A child with Spina Bifida cannot always move their body well, so any exposure to smoke of any kind could possibly have worse effects on them than a child who can move and get the smoke out of their lungs more easily.

But smoking ANYTHING is likely to have more severe effects on your lungs if you are in a wheelchair or cannot walk normally, because you won't get as much air going in and out of your lungs. So it might not be wise. You may want to ask your doctor about medical marijuana in pill or oil form, if you think that it may help with your pain from Spina Bifida.
