Science does make life better if used correctly, it helps improve our quality of life, it has answered many confusing questions such as how the world began or where humans come from (although the majority of religious people have their own beliefs on things like this) and it has provided generations with useful information over the years.

Due to science it is now possible to prevent yourself or cure yourself from unwanted illness', whereas some religions believe that if it is gods will to heal you he will and that you should pray, and if it is not in his will he will not heal you which leads to many people dieing and many families losing loved ones.

Similarly, religions like jehovah's witness, forbids anyone in the religion to have Blood Transfusion since 1945 because they believe blood removed from the body should be disposed of, and due to this rule many, many lives of adults and children's lives have been lost.

Additionally, if it was not for science we would never have found ways to save our planet, everyone knows that the world is suffering from global warming and C02, but thanks to Science we have discovered a way that humans can protect our earth (if follow through with ways to save energy etc.) while religions would argue that it is god's will to end the world, and if everyone was to believe this then I'm sure the world would end a lot sooner than can be helped.

Also, the majority of religious stories are most likely to be untrue like the tale of 'Noah's Arc', which if told to young children confuses them or makes them believe something which is not true.

On the other hand, some believe that Religion can make someone a better person, it will encourage them to set themselves goals, it helps people to be dedicated and stick up for what they believe in, and convinces to not commit crimes or be a rebelious person.

Science is not always a good things either, Science is known to give wrong information out which gives an opposite effect of helping anyone or protecting them, because of Science dangerous machinery like Nuclear Weapons have been designed and invented which is very risky when put into the wrong hands.

And people can argue that it is because of Science that Global Warming ever even began, and we would have been better off without it.

Religion also gives hope to people with a low quality of life, and helps them to believe that there is better in the world.

Science is also frowned upon by religious people when it comes to topics like Plastic Surgery, they believe that people who have this are obviously not grateful for the body that God gave them and do not deserve it. They should be thankful for what they are given because it could be worse.

(Although can be argued that people who desperately need plastic surgery for an illness they may have from when young deserve to HAVE plastic surgery)

Plus, science has made projects such as cloning, religions believe that God made you unique for a reason and that cloning is seen as trying to 'Play God'.

Why are science and religion best if they are totally ignored?

Science is known while religion is unknown.Science is physically proven while reliogion is mentally proven. Thus science is in the past while religion is in the future. However, both science and religion does not raise the standard of human evolution and the middle path between these two extremes is 'spiritual'. A spiritual journey travel inwards while science and religion delve on outwardly matters.

What do science and religion have most in common and what do both attempt to answer?

Science and religion both attempt to answer questions relating to existence or being. Science is mainly concerned with the structure and behavior of being while religion focuses on the purpose of being.

What science is a systematic study of God's creation?

Science does not study religion. As Stephen J. Gould says, science and religion operate, or ought to operate, in quite distinct magisteria. Science is the systematic study of the natural world, while theology is the systematic study of religion. Of course, if we regard theology as a science, then theology is the systematic study of religion and therefore of God's creation.

Should science teachers teach about God?

No. Science is baised on facts while religion is composed of beliefs and spiritual knowlage.

Are there Scientific proofs in religions?

== == Religion is all about faith, whilst science is a branch of overall knowledge for mankind. Religion is about belief whilst science emphasises more on knowledge-seeking. However religion is something that cannot be proven - right or wrong and true of false. Religion & Science at times may not be compatible or can run parallel to one another. Just as science cannot prove religion, it goes without saying religion cannot empirically prove anything on science. However, for believers science is part of religion, and NOT vice versa. ---- Thus, there is no way to prove the truth of any religion scientifically. All religions are equally based on faith alone, and which one you choose to follow, if you choose to follow a religion at all, is simply a matter of faith. Religion is the source of all knowledge of the world. Religion is for our spiritual ascension while science is for our physical ascension in this world. Both the disciplines are necessary for the successful physical as well as eternal life. Both are distinct in themselves and hence cannot be compared at any instance. Science cannot reach the spiritual zenith of religion and Religion cannot bow down to the levels to justify the theories of Science. "RELIGION BEGINS WHERE OUR INTELLECT ENDS". The things for which we could reason out automatically becomes 'science' for us. And the things which are beyond the reach of our intellect and power of reasoning automatically becomes 'religion' for us. Science is the vast ground and Religion is the unending sky. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What makes a good voice?

Must the facts about science agree with the Bible?

There is no real requirement for science to agree with the words of the Bible, or even for the Bible to literally agree with modern science. Stephen Jay Gould explained this when he said that the domain or magisterium for science is the empirical realm - what the universe is made from and why it works the way it does. The magisterium of religion includes the ultimate meaning and moral values. These magisteria are nonoverlapping - science does not comment on the ultimate meaning of life, while religion should not comment on the natural world. At times the Bible does disagree with the facts of science, which makes Stephen Jay Goud's recommendation more significant for Christians. What did Einstein mean by science without religion is lame religion without science is blind?

well, why don't you take a minute and think about it. Science is constantly proving religion wrong and it gives science an underlying purpose to keep moving forward with its work in every category while religion is constantly revising its interpretations of an apparently flawless book. While at the same time religion needs science because it does actually explain how some of the "miracles" could have occured if the people in the stories were the thinking kind of people who could predict wind patterns and sun locations. In short, they need each other I have a slightly different take on this subject. With regards to the first half of the statement, "science without religion is lame", I equate the statement to mean that science would be uninspiring and dull without religion. I infer this interpretation because of another of his quotes, "We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality." The second part of of the statement, "religion without science is blind", may be paraphrased as theories or attitudes held by people or organizations can go off in the wrong direction if not subjected to a structured and systematic study. Just my 2 cents.

Briefly discuss the conflict between SCIENCE and RELIGION in 19th century?

The main conflict between science and religion is that science requires solid evidence of the Biblical events while religion is based upon faith in knowing that because the Bible is the word of God it is true and the events took place because the Bible says they did. Science does not simply accept the fact that because God said it in the Bible it is true. They would have to see it to believe it and not act upon faith.

How did Science play a role during the renaissance and why was science another means to disobey the church?

Science was not so much a contributor to the renaissance, but a beneficiary of the changes, after the renaisscance science was able to continue withuout much prosecution from the church. While some discoveries helped feed the rennaiscance they were not directly related. Finnaly science has never been a way to disobey religion, religion simply branded science disobedience because it had a pesky tendency to call into question a few of the central collums of belief.

What is the best religion christian or Jewish?

No single religion is better than another. There are many different reasons that a person might practice a specific religion, but the main thing to remember is that religion is very subjective. Christianity will appeal more to some while Judaism will appeal more to others while Islam will appeal more to others, etc.
