Abraham lived in Ur first and then Haran before he was called by God. The story can be found in Genesis 11:31.

The Bible does not say; but we do not need the Bible for that answer. If we believe the Bible true, then all people today are his children, and they all say he built the ark in Suruppak which is in the area that Peleg Mesanipada built Ur in 2239bc. Though off the coast, near to it; it was not insight of the coast. The last two angels who each ruled as the world's king of kings did so from Suruppak for 231 years 235 days. Noah was then 368 years old until at age 420 then Xisuthros ruled 180 years (18 sars) 2550-2370bc until the Flood. Again this comes from what Noah's children (the whole world) retained from what their 8 parents told them. Surruppak is 520 miles from Mount Ararat. After the Flood Noah lived at Ararat until his wife died, at which time he went by himself to Kittim (Cyprus) to teach his descendents to build ships.
Well the person who lived in Ur was Abraham and Sarah they were the people who was the famous bible person who lived in UR.
Sarah was also Abraham's half sister and although the bible does not specifically say that she was born there, Sarah and Abraham originally lived in the city Ur of the chaldees.
Sarah (wife of Abraham) lived 127 years according to Genesis 23:1.
depends which bible ur reading!
The Bible says specifically that Haran, Abraham's brother, was BORN in Ur, and that Abraham was 'brought out of' Ur, so he was most likely born there too (Genesis 11:27-32)(Genesis 15:7)(Nehemiah 9:7)(Acts 7:2-4)
According to the Bible, Noah's Ark came to rest in the Mountains of Ararat which is a euphemism for the east Anatolian Highlands. This territory consists of some of eastern Turkey and the country of Armenia. Some argue that Noah's Ark specifically landed on Mount Ararat itself and this is a location in Turkey, roughly 20 kilometers from the Iranian border and roughly 30 kilometers from the Armenian border.
The Bible doesn't get into much detail other than the pagan idols of the Chaldeans. They basically were an agricultural society. James Mitchner's, 'The Source' gives a better picture of daily life in Ur.
Abram, who was later called Abraham. Although the Bible does not specifically say Abram was born in Ur, it says Abram's grandfather was born there (Genesis 11:28) and his father moved the family away (Genesis 11:31).
Ur, in Chaldea
Ur was the name of a city (Genesis ch.11 and ch.15).
Genesis 11:28-31New International Version (NIV)28 While his father Terah was still alive, Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans, in the land of his birth. 29 Abram and Nahor both married. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife was Milkah; she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milkah and Iskah. 30 Now Sarai was childless because she was not able to conceive.31 Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.Abraham and his family comes to mind:
