Does the Green Party consider themselves to be conservative or liberal?
Extending the "social safety net" rather than cutting taxes
On the average, the Democrats are considered more liberal and the Republicans are considered more conservative. However, there are liberal Republicans and conservative Dem…ocrats. The Republicans tend to favor less government and the Democrats tend to favor more government, when dealing with domestic problems and individual and states' rights. Republicans tend to favor economic laws that regulate as little as possible. Democrats favor legislation that regulates industry for the protection of the consumer. Democrats tend to favor some sort of government aid for those individuals who need assistance. Republicans tend to favor was to help the states and local, private charities help individuals in need. Libertarians believe in a strong support of individual civil liberties, private property and the free market economy with little government intervention. They favor the least amount of government interference. They believe the individual should be left alone to do as he/she wishes, as long as there is no harm to any other person or group.
Generally speaking, most people into politics in the US will cite the Atlantic Monthly as a liberal magazine.
Assuming you are referring to U.S. Politics, it would depend on how you define conservative. Traditionally, the constitutional party would be the most conservative, followed… by the libertarian. The republican party is the more conservative of the primary two parties though because of diversity and political expedience, it does operate as the most conservative.
In my opinion, I'd put him more to the conservative side, but not exactly on the farthest point. More like less than in between.
He was a progressive.
The populists considered themselves to be a party of the people because the new party claimed the gov't should own the railroads and the telegraph lines.
In short, yes--in other words, the 20's were both liberal and conservative. The 20's were full of conflict between liberals and conservatives over a variety of topi…cs. Though this may be an over-generalization, the center of liberal thought was in urban areas, while rural areas were more conservative. These two competing world views argued over: the changing role of women in society, women's fashion, evolution vs. creationism, free speech vs. fear of communism, alcohol, and even music. Since there were two sides to every issue, it would be hard to characterize the 1920's as either liberal or conservative. However, these issues became important because the status quo was changing--becoming more liberal. So, I suppose one could argue that the 20's were "liberal" with conservatives trying to hold on and maintain the status quo. I suppose one could also argue that the 1920's were conservative due a variety of factors, including presidential politics, the Palmer Raids and the Red Scare, the rise of the KKK, Prohibition, etc.
He was a Liberal.
Much more conservative
They have a liberal stance, as shown by Al Gore.

Canada's Federal Liberal Party is Canada's oldest still existing party, though they are going through a rough patch. They ruled Canada for most of the 20th century making Cana…da effectively a single party state in many ways. Politically they wanted and want Liberalized Trade with the USA and closer ties to the USA rather than Britain, smaller military, more social programs and more rights for some of Canada's founding peoples. The 20th century saw them achieve most of that and the Canada we have today is for the most part their creation. Key beliefs have been flexible to enable them to maintain power. Their largest block of support has come from French Quebec with much less support in Western Canada, which was not needed in our system.
