No. The only for-profit retail business owned or operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) is Deseret Book, a religious book and gift store chain. They also operate a non-profit thrift store chain, Deseret Industries. All their other income comes from real-estate investments or donations.

Is the founders of doterra Mormon?

Since the company is headquartered in Utah, it stands to reason that many of the people associated with it are Mormon - but that is quite different from saying the company is associate "with THE Mormons". The LDS (Mormon) church has NO association with the company even if some of its members do. Its in the same category as asking if the Studebaker Company was associated with the Catholic church (it employed mostly Catholic immigrants to the USA).

What are the Mormon Church owned businesses that are tax exempt?

None. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not operate any businesses that are tax-exempt. They do operate some charities (which are always legally non-profit and tax exempt, but are also not considered businesses) and they operate a tax-exempt distribution service for church materials and supplies. (Items are produced and distributed at cost to congregations and individuals for religious purposes only, and therefore this doesn't really count as a 'business')

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not own or operate any hotels. Many individual Church members may own or operate hotels. While it would be impossible to know about each one, we do know of some large national chains that are either owned by Mormons or have Mormons in high level positions. Do Mormon dentists refer to non Mormon dental specialists?

Of course! Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called "Mormons") do not have a problem promoting the businesses of those who are not members of the Church. If a Mormon dentist refers you to a specialist, it is his duty to refer you to someone he considers a good dental specialist, not a good Mormon. Religion and business are kept seperate, something most Mormons understand very well.
