I agree with the previous Wiki Answer about the effectiveness of the product and the hanging leg raise. The hanging leg raise is a great exercise but it's very hard to do. With the Ab Coaster, you get the same benefit as the hanging leg raise, but it's not nearly as hard because you don't need to hang from an bar to do the movement. My wife can't do regular hanging leg raises because of lack of upper body strength, but she can use the Ab Coaster.

My wife and I saw it at our health club and loved it. We bought the home version at a fitness dealer (Chicago Home) for $400. I saw it online for the same price (www.abcoaster.com) They sell a Club unit for around $1200, and a middle unit for around $700.

My wife loves the way it targets the lower tummy, and I like how it targets the obliques/love handles.

Is it worth $400? We think it's worth every penny.

well yess it does! I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks 9 min a day and eating healthy. A good small snack is to eat lots of cottage cheese and yogurt. Or if you eat dinner, for example spegetti. Only eat a small serving. Then at night if you get hungry, eat cheese and cranberry juice or lipton tea-diet 0 calories. Never give up losing fat. I hope you can manage this small idea that worked for me

They don't work better than sit ups, but can work just as well if used in the correct manner. The problem with using a machine like an ab lounger is that you can more easily cheat by using your arms/shoulders instead of your abs.
