The oil pan is the point at which oil pools when the engine is turned off, and MOST of the oil drains to that point when the engine is running. The oil pump pumps a stream of oil out of the oil pan into portions of the engine that need lubrication. Since the oil pan is designed to capture oil as it drains out of the engine, the oil pan must be at the lowest part, and as such, the oil pan hangs from the crankcase and is always underneath the crankshaft. To find the oil pan, just find the engine, climb underneath and look for the big part that has a drain plug... that's the oil pan.
Use a bolt out the same as an easy out but for bolts & nuts. Craftsman sells a set for about $20.00
the oil pan is the black pan underneith the center of engine with a little bolt in it.

For gas engine center rear of oil pan, it is a cast aluminum pan 15mm bolt and the oil filter is next to and up. When you remove the bolt oil will flow out 12+ inches back.
If you look under the car,you see a pan with a bolt sticking out of it either on the forward side or the rear of it.once you find the bolt that is the oil pan. If you see two such pans, it is the one in front.

It is in the oil pan, and the oil pan is bolted to the bottom of the engine. Just look around the sides and bottom of it and you will see a bolt that is screewed into the oil pan. That will be the drain plug.
