No, Tortoises only just lay there eggs in the sand and cover them with sand afterwards, then they just swim out into the ocean and leave there eggs behind so that when the eggs hatch the young can go on the same journey they went when they were young. Then they probably meet up I think. sometimes yes sometimes no but they don't take care of there eggs.

Eggs
Usually, a female tortoise lays her eggs in the same spot each year.
I just discovered today after I thought the tortoise was male that it is female. The tortoise is about 8-9 years. I was just wondering if female tortoise's can lay eggs without a male and what age would it be? Thanks
