In the new anime... at the end of the whole series... ed claims that he wants to have an equivalent exchange with winry by him giving her half of his life for half of her life... winry on the other hand says she will give him all of her life... both blush and then edward laughs at the blushing winry... ed hugs her tightly and leaves on the train to the west... before that he promises to return soon... and at the end of the credits... it shows everyones life after the incident with all the homunculi... there it shows roy and riza, scar, roy's team, and many more... and at the end it shows ed and winry holding their two children, right behind them is al and mei smiling.... this proves that ed and winry end up together

∙ 11y agoIn Brotherhood, *spoiler warning* at the end they do get married and have a son and a daughter. :) There's also a lot of shipping signs in both Brotherhood and the first series, so yes you could say they are meant to be.
