Edwina Booth, born Josephine Constance Woodruff, was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the great-granddaughter of Church President Wilford Woodruff. She and her family moved to California when she was 17, it is unknown how active they were in the Church during this time. After she contracted malaria and left her acting career behind, religion became a much larger part of her life. It is said that she frequented the Los Angeles temple from it's dedication in the 1950's up until her death in 1991.
