Hey Lee==there are screws on the inside of the door.Be careful as there are a lot of sharp edges there. GoodluckJoe
The IAT sensor on a Toyota Tacoma is found inside the air intake. The sensor clips into the plastic tubing used for the air intake system.
1. occurring in spells and often abruptly
2. intermittently stopping and starting
The alternator light goes out on starting the engine when both the ignition source, and alternator are producing positive voltage. When the ignition switch is turned off, the engine, and of course, alternator are still turning momentarily. The alternator is then still producing positive voltage, while the 'off' ignition switch has assumed a negative state, creating a closed + - circuit, allowing the lamp to light. This is a very normal state, and has occurred for many decades, even back to the days of cars running generators, prior to the alternator. Absolutely nothing to fear.
It should be on for best gas mileage under normal driving conditions, If towing a large load up hills and through town, it should be off.
You need to remove the rear seats, both front and rear seat belts, rear plastic panel below sliding rear window, main horizontal plastic piece between door jam and carpet in front door area, remove rear side window latch and then everything pops out. Lots of clips and snaps.
Check your spark plugs and wires, make sure they're good and no electrical leak or maybe vacuum leak. Bad MAF sensor- Get new one NOW !
I have a 1996 t100 it should be similar. It took me 45 minutes. so don't worry , you can do it. First take off the dash panel under the steering wheel, it will hang there attached to wires, like four 10mm bolts. Then take off the the trim plate around the speedo, should be 2 screws, you might have to tilt steering wheel or put in gear to make room to get it out. 4 screws and you have the speedo console out, reach behind and pop off old speedo cable. pull down dash and push through floor board hole. under truck it has 3 hooks that hold in place undo those. on the passenger side the cable continues into a heat shroud, take that off three nuts hold it in place. two hooks hold the cable in place under the shroud. unscrew end of speedo cable attached to tranny. attach new cable and follow instruction in reverse up and back into the cab.
Good luck

I've heard every 60,000 miles.
Answerin 97 they decided to extend the change interval to 90,000 miles. the 3400 engine on this model has a very good record for not breaking. let it go til then and you should be fine. one note though, replace the water pump at the same time. if it isn't leaking yet, it will be soon and you'll save about 4.5 hours labor to remove the timing belt again and do the pump when it does finally go. the pump is about 100.00 and the extra labor is minimal compared to starting from scratch.
On my 1995 2wd T100 I waited until 100,000 miles and had both the timing belt and water pump replaced for around $400.00, in 2005 here in Salt Lake City, UT And yes I do have the 3.4 liter V6 engine.
If you are driving for a period of time over 45 mph then use overdrive.
If you are driving under 45 mph or in traffic that is speeding up and slowing down over and under 45 mph then do not use.
Simple answer would be your radiator or hoses. If you've never replaced the hoses, do it anyway. Go get a pressure test done and that'll pinpoint it if you can't. ---- NOTE:
Anti-freeze wears out and needs to be replaced. A tester costs about $2.
If you haven't changed the anti-freeze in 3-4 years, plan on changing it now.
Someone else had informed me that this light also comes on if the brake fluid is low. I added fluid to my '97 T-100 and it solved the problem.
I have a 97 T-100 with the same problem. While I can't tell you for certain what is causing the problem, I suspect the switch also, and will be replacing it soon. The switch is located under the dash near the firewall, where the tip of the parking brake rod connects with it. To test whether your problem is merely an adjustment issue, pull the parking brake, then reach the switch and depress the button on top. If the light goes off, it just needs adjustment. If not, it is probably the switch. To further check, disconnect the wiring harness connection and run a jumper wire between the two posts of the connector. If the light goes out, replace the switch.
this could be caused by just a loose wire touching and making a connection or it could be a small short due to some other reason
No one makes panels for the bed. To order a new bed from Toyota you are looking at over 5K. Used ones with no rust are extremly hard to find and if you do find one you will still have to paint.
The bed is not too hard to replace as long as you can get the 6 bolts loose on the bottom which holds it on. Lots of penetrating oil before you ever start.
Usually under the Steering wheel there are fuses for the Radio and Dome Light. Check and make sure they aren't blown. The Dome light fuse controls Time/Clock, and sometimes stuff like Door Lock controls, Keyless Entry Systems, Dash Cluster Lights, and maybe even headlight controls.
For the Radio there will be Radio No.1 and No.2 fuses check both of these.
