Where was the1970's Cincinnati car accident that killed oak hills high students?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The accident occured the night of the Oak Hills High School homecoming dance, October 21, 1972. The location of the accident was the intersection of Taylor and Rybolt roads in Green Township, Cincinnati, OH. A car carrying six Oak Hills students was westbound on Taylor Rd. when a vehicle heading southbound on Rybolt Rd. at a high rate of speed became airborne cresting a hill on Rybolt and landed virtually on top of the student's car. Five of the six occupants were killed. Their names: Deborah Lyn Eckert, Cindy Jane Kreuzman, Kim Marie Wullenweber, Alan Surnbrock and Linda Diane May. It should be noted that the driver and passenger of the "airborne" vehicle both survived the accident. Both were determined to be legally intoxicated, having purchased alcoholic beverages using illicit identification. The outcome of this incident led indirectly to the initiation of the use of Photo Identification on all Ohio driver's licenses. A memorial fountain was erected the following year in a courtyard at Oak Hills High School dedicated to the memory of the five accident victims.

How many people get in car accidents by texting?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Even one is too many ! If you're driving a car you have no business using a mobile phone !! There should be a GLOBAL BAN on using a mobile while driving. You either drive the car or use the phone - not both !

There should be much stiffer penalties for anyone causing an accident while texting. Here in the UK - offences range from 'driving without due care and attention' to 'causing death by dangerous driving'. Pesonally I'd like to see anyone killing a person because they were texting while driving, charged with at least manslaughter !

How do you write a long letter to support a heart sick person?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Just let them know that you are there for them anytime they need moral and/or emotional support. If you want to make the letter a long one, then you can include things you've been through that may be similar to what that person is going through. Not only will this give you more to write, but it will also let them know that you really do understand that kind of emotional pain.

But you should also try to include some things to try to cheer up the heartsick person. You can tell them about something funny you saw in a movie, some amusing things that your children, nieces/nephews, friend's children, etc. did, or something funny that happened or that was said at work. If you have pets, you can write about their latest antics, as well.

You can also include the normal, mundane things of everyday life, even things that angered you, such as a neighbor driving over your trash can or stealing your newspaper. Any thing you write will help the person get their mind off their pain, even if only for a short while.

What are the three most common motorist caused car-bicycle crashes?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

  • in Europe a motorist turning left in front of/beside a cyclist. in America this would prob be the opposite. 2nd a car coming towards you and turning to your left in front of you. 3 a car pulling out of a side street and misjudging or failing to see the cyclist and the cyclist hitting the front side of the car.

    be carefull out there!

  • 1) a motorist turning left in the face 2)a motorist turning right across the path of the bicycle traffic 3) a motorist pulling away from a stop sign, failing to yield right-of-way to bicycle cross traffic(p.13-3)
  • In the UK - the single most common accidents for motorcyclists stems from excessive speed - either the motorcyclist's excessive speed or that of the car or both. Two other motorcycle accidents include a vehicle turning out of a side road and faling to see the bike and accidents whilst a motorcycle is filtering - overtaking slow moving traffic.
