The Starter Motor Is Located Under The Intake Manifold, You Have To Remove A Bunch Of Stuff To Remove The Manifold To Get To The Starter, It Is A Small Gear Reduction Starter. Not Hard To Replace At That Point. But A Lot Of Trouble To Get To. I Recommend You Take It To A Good Garrage. Expect To Pay A Pretty High Price Also. Considering The Labor Involved. GOD BLESS

the best way to start out is to undo all the wiring on the intake, then take off your belt, alternator, alternator bracket,hoses,manifold,2 gas lines and power steering pump, then take off your valve cover and remove your push rodes and rocker arms and leave them in order from which you took them off then take off. then take off your head bolts and replace them to or else it will blow again then you should be able to take your head off, and heres a lil trick to help it from blowing, buy some aluminum spray paint and paint the gasket block and head right before you put it on and it will help the gasket seal.

It should be automatic once in gear it should disengage, if not follow the pedal assembly up there you will find a small lever that if you flip it it will disengage it, watch yourself cause the pedal will just pop up.
